Story

The Irish Glen of Imaal Terrier was bred in Ireland and received name from the name of the valley in County Wicklow. Originally used to rid pests and farms and houses, and for fox and badger hunting. It was recognized by the Irish club dog breeding in 1933.

Description

Small, long and strong dog. The head is proportional to the body, with convex forehead and muzzle. The nose is black. Medium sized eyes, round and dark. The ears are small. The tail is short and holds high. Color may be wheat, blue, brindle.
