Triple joy: German cow gave birth triple

The rarest event occurred in the state of Baden-Württemberg (Germany) – on a farm in the vicinity of Mössingen, a cow gave birth to three quite viable and healthy calves.

The happy mother Haidrun and the triplets were immediately transferred to increased comfort under constant monitoring the vet. However, the whole family already feels perfectly. The little girls have already been given beautiful similar names: Hanni, Hannes and Hannah.

The birth of triplets in cows, according to German statistics, is only 0.05 percent of the total number of offspring; such kids usually born too small, weakened and extremely rare survive. Twin calves are a more common phenomenon; them up to five percent, and their survival is significantly above.
