Of all the pets, only dogs and pigs are endowed unusually sensitive sense of smell. In dogs, this quality is used on service to man, but the pigs undeservedly ignored.
Russian law enforcement officers are preparing to use the experience American colleagues – in the US, bloodhound pigs are actively working in police and customs. Perhaps in the near future these talented sniffers take root in the service in the Russian FSMN and various police units. Until experimental pigs work only in the Rostov administration internal affairs.
A sensitive patch of such “employees” can easily find even securely hidden drugs and explosives, others prohibited and dangerous goods. Pigs are very smart, very trained and are often more executive than dogs.
