A rare species of monkey grows new generation

A rare macaque baby was born on October 26th.

For the first time in 15 years, monkeys living in the Moscow zoo species Diana appeared long-awaited offspring.

Parents of a newborn baby are ten-year-old Fiona and Tuvaya. The cub became the first-born of an adult couple.

Park workers have not yet been able to determine gender monkeys. But they set the weight – it is a little over 600 grams. The baby continues to eat mother’s milk, and, having matured, will eat the same as his parents.

You can see the happy family of Diana in the “Monkey House” Moscow Zoo.
