An agreement was reached at the level of the heads of ministries of agriculture of the two republics on the sale of breeding flocks of valuable fat tail sheep from Kalmykia to Tuva.
Breeding Kalmyk fat tail sheep will be one of the priority directions of the agricultural sector of Tyva. Local breeders received grant support from the department for this project livestock and breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
So far, a unique flock of 130 founders of the future Tuvan fat tail stock is preparing for a long journey, Minister of Agriculture host economy Yuri Oruspay came to Kalmykia. After consulting with a local colleague, the official went to Baska cattle breeding enterprise – to adopt experience.
