Saved seals were released into the wild: video from Kaliningrad

On July 30, two Red Book seals were released into the Baltic Sea. The release of animals was carried out by employees of the Kaliningrad the zoo.

The operation took place in a national reserve, on the Curonian Spit. On two of the four Baltic seal cubs set off, discovered on the coast in April. Beasts found in bad condition, wounded and exhausted. Their rehabilitation took place 4 months, during this time the weight of animals tripled.

According to the press secretary of the Kaliningrad Zoo, Catherine Mikhailova, the remaining seals will be released as soon as Rosprirodnadzor will give permission.
