The country’s first elephant hospital opens in the state Uttar Pradesh, informs news agency ABS News.
The clinic is located on the Yamuna River. It is reported that in it already twenty elephants undergo their treatment. Hospitalization expected yet thirty animals.
It is noted that the new veterinary center was founded with the support of South Asia’s largest wildlife rescue organization (Wildlife SOS). The facility is equipped with modern equipment, necessary for the treatment and recovery of elephants affected by mistreatment of previous owners and poaching. Clinic equipped with ultrasound and x-ray scanners, scales, special devices for lifting heavy patients.
Locals and livestock enthusiasts welcomed the opening special center for the most magnificent animals in the world. In perspective the hospital will become a tourist attraction.
