The Ministry of Agriculture of the Moscow Region reported on work with stray animals: for half a year they managed to catch, inspect, register and vaccinate more than 6 thousand stray cats and dogs.
Many of the adult animals were also sterilized before return to their natural habitat – on the streets of populated points near Moscow. Some were more fortunate: they managed to find new owners while animals were in rehab after surgery.
Every dog needs a home
Veterinarians manage to serve a little more in this way thousands of “strollers” per month. Of course, such measures do not solve the acute problem of homeless animals, but they serve prevention of uncontrolled reproduction and spread rabies. But first of all, you need to work with people through fault which pets become stray.
